James provides mediation and arbitration services in employment, labour and civil litigation matters.

Prior to beginning as an arbitrator and mediator, he practised in these areas for more than 35 years. Over that time, he represented thousands of clients in Ontario and Quebec, before specialized Tribunals and all levels of Courts, in both official languages.

His approach to mediation and arbitration is not that different from his approach to the practise of law. Parties need to be heard and understood, issues need to be crystallized, and differences need to be negotiated or decided in a civil, practical and efficient manner.

This approach is promoted by the College of Labour and Employment Lawyers, which consists of senior lawyers with more than 20 years of specialized experience, and who are recommended by their labour and management peers. James is proud to be one of the approximately 70 Canadian Fellows.
